World Family Doctor Day 2018
World Family Doctor Day (WFDD) is celebrated annually on 19 May by the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) to highlight the role and contribution of family doctors in health care systems around the world. The key theme of this year is “Family doctors - leading the way to better health".
Being your health partner, a family doctor provides comprehensive and continuing care to you and your family through all life stages. He/she knows you well, understands your health concerns, and helps you and your family to attain better health.

"My Family Doctor 3" TV Programme
The Department of Health and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), with support from The Hong Kong College of Family Physicians (HKCFP), have jointly produced another 5-episode television programme "My Family Doctor 3". Through showcase of some real life stories, the audience will know more how family doctors help them to prevent and manage some common health problems.
This TV series will be broadcast in the following channels and periods:
RTHK Channel 31 - 9:30pm to 10:00pm every Saturday from 19 May to 16 June 2018
TVB Jade - 6:00pm to 6:30pm every Tuesday from 22 May to 19 June 2018

"My Family Doctor" short video
The Department of Health has produced a short video to publicize the important role of family doctors. In the video, a little girl named Hei Hei got sick and while she was looking for appropriate medical treatment, she and her family experienced the benefits of having a family doctor. Through providing continuing and comprehensive care, a family doctor understands the health concerns of you and your family. He/she can provide preventive care and treatment plan and best suited to individual needs. Being your health partner, a family doctor will also accompany you to deal with the psychological or social issues faced by you and your family.
